The Children's Centre Team for the Rochester Cluster

 

Karen Harper- Cluster Manager

Karen has been involved with the development of Children's Centres for over 10 years, in roles including Community Outreach Officer and Centre Manager. Karen is a trained Nursery Nurse and has previously run a pre-school and an after-school club. She is very experienced working with children and families and built up sessions and groups church from scratch, seeing them become some of the most popular and vibrant groups in the Rochester Cluster!

 

Julie Takher - Early Help Worker

Julie has experience working with families from her role as a Home-School Support Worker, Family Liaison Worker and Community Outreach Officer. Julie has also been a Crisis Worker supporting victims of sexual assault.

 

Jude Johnson - Early Help Worker

Jude spent 6 years with a children's charity providing assemblies and after-school clubs to many schools in the Maidstone area. She has experience working with families from her role as a pastoral assistant and Community Outreach Officer.

 

Tina Moore - Administrator - St Margaret's at Troy Town

Tina has provided admin support to the team and a warm front of house welcome since the centre opened in 2009. She will often be the friendly voice on the end of the phone!

 

Asha Jayakrishnan - Administrator - Delce Children's Centre

Asha joins the cluster from the Family Information Service. Asha has many years of administration and family work. She will often be the first person you will meet when you visit Delce Children's Centre with a friendly smile and warm welcome.

 

Sharon Hudson - Community Liasion Officer

Sharon has vast experience working with families and developing the Children's Centre service in Rochester. Sharon was operations manager at Delce Children's Centre before the Early Years restructure and brings lots of experience to her new role working across the Rochester Cluster.

 

Laura Sackley - Playworker

We welcome Laura from Temple Mill Children's Centre where she spent many years running groups and supporting play activities for families within the local area. Laura works part-time and brings a wealth of experience with her to the Rochester cluster.

 

Hayley Forest - Early Years Teacher

Hayley joins the Rochester Cluster from the Early Years Teaching Team within Medway. She has expertise in working with children with special educational needs and has a passion for helping all children reach their potential.
