Let your light shine!

Our vision, “Letting your light shine,” allows everyone in our SMATT family to feel valued, included, and experience a strong sense of belonging, enabling them to flourish and thrive in everything we do. We are a light for our community and we are inspired to be role models today, tomorrow, and forever in our wider world. Pupil Premium is a key part of how we live out this vision. It provides additional funding to support children who may face extra challenges, helping us to remove barriers to learning and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Through our Pupil Premium strategy, we carefully plan how this funding is used to make the greatest possible difference. This includes targeted academic support, wellbeing and pastoral care, enrichment opportunities, and resources that build confidence, independence, a sense of belonging, and the skills children need to thrive, alongside a love of learning. We want all our children to feel secure, supported, valued, and proud of who they are, so that their individual light can truly shine.

I am delighted to share some wonderful news with you. Our school has recently received a letter from the Secretary of State for Education recognising the excellent outcomes achieved by our disadvantaged pupils. This is a fantastic achievement and one that we are all incredibly proud of.

Children who are eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) may qualify for Pupil Premium funding, even if they do not take the meals themselves. Registering for FSM is simple and completely confidential, and it brings significant benefits to the school by allowing us to access extra funding to support our pupils. On this page, you will find our Pupil Premium strategy, information about how the funding is used and its impact, and guidance on how to check eligibility and apply for FSM. By working together with our families, we can continue to strengthen our support and ensure every child in our SMATT family feels a strong sense of belonging, is enabled to flourish and thrive, and shines brightly.
