School Sports Funding

At SMATT, we are committed to promoting healthy, active lifestyles and ensuring that all our pupils have access to high-quality physical education and sporting opportunities.

The PE and Sport Premium is government funding provided to all primary schools to improve the provision of PE and sport. The aim is to encourage the development of healthy, active children and to help schools build a sustainable foundation for physical activity and wellbeing.

We use this funding to:

• Enhance the quality of PE lessons through staff training and specialist coaching

• Broaden the range of sports and activities offered to all pupils

• Increase participation in competitive sport, both within school and with other schools

• Improve access to physical activity throughout the school day

• Promote a lifelong love of sport and physical activity
