Vision

At St Margaret's at Troy Town we ensure that our school Vision and Values are the heartbeat of everything we do.

‘Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.’ Matthew 5:16

Our pupils are encouraged to consider how they can 'let their little light shine' in everything they do.

As God’s children, everyone in our SMATT family is valued as an individual and inspired to let their light shine before others, so that everyone will see the good they do.  We flourish and learn together, as a community, showing the Christian Values of friendship, trust, respect and perseverance.

Our vision is taken from The Sermon on the Mount:

Friendship

Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralysed man,  Son, your sins are forgiven.

Trust

But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

“Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.   But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

Respect

But a Samaritan, as he travelled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.  He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.  The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him.’  he said.
