HEADTEACHER'S WELCOME
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to St Margaret's at Troy Town C of E Primary School website and to a school that prides itself on its caring, inclusive and family atmosphere within a deeply Christian ethos.
Our vision, ‘letting your light shine’ allows everyone in our SMATT family to feel valued and enabled to flourish in everything we do. We are a light for our community and we are inspired to be role models today, tomorrow and forever in our wider world.
The foundation of our school vision is Jesus' teaching on the Sermon on the Mount where he said:
'14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
This is at the heart of everything we do.
We learn together through our Christian Values of:
Respect, Friendship, Trust and Perseverance
Through three words: Ready, Respectful, Safe, we encourage positive and reflective behaviour that upholds every pupil’s right to flourish. Having a right to learn and the responsibility to allow others to learn will be evident in all curriculum areas and encourages each child to demonstrate high quality behaviour for learning.
Pupils are understandably proud of this friendly, inclusive, and welcoming school. They say that their teachers make learning fun and talk with interest about what they have learned. Ofsted December 2021
All members of staff are committed to ensuring all children flourish through exciting learning opportunitiesand within a supportive and stimulating environment. We believe that it is very important that children have a wide range of opportunities and educational experiences thereby inspiring an enjoyment of learning and enabling every child to reach their full potential.
So I extend a personal invitation to you to come and see our school, talk to myself and my team to find out more about us. I am always happy to show visitors the work of our fantastic children and staff.
