Key Information
- Our drop off times are 8.40am and 3.15pm.
- Our PE day is Monday and Wednesday.
- On Monday PE is Tag Rugby and on Wednesday PE is Football.
- On PE days, children should come to school wearing their PE kit.
- For safety, earrings need to be removed and long hair tied up.
- We also ask that children do not wear jewellery to school, apart from small stud earrings.
- Please ensure children have a water bottle each day.
- In Year 6, children are welcome to bring their own stationery, as long as it fits neatly into a pencil case that can be stored in their tray.
- If you need to contact the class teacher, please see me at the gate and thend of the day or call the school office.

We expect the children to read for at least 20 minutes a night.

To help children further their understanding of the text they are reading, it would be beneficial for them to answer different VIPERS questions (examples are attached below).

Contact books will be used to show how the children are getting on when reading at home.
Homework
- Homework will be given out every Thursday and due back in on Tuesday.

We will alternate weeks; Maths and English and also include project work.

Maths and English tasks will always be something that the children have done or are familiar with and with have an example of the strategy we have used in class.
Spellings
- Children are introduced to the spellings on Monday and have lessons on the pattern they are focusing on, throughout the week.
- Children will take home a spelling book on Monday to practice their spellings.
- There will be a test on Friday, for the spellings the children have been learning.
